I know that it has been a while...

Life is crazy, but full of so much fun and excitment. Ok, let me start with the wedding. I couldn't have asked for a better day or for anything else. My wedding began early in the morning with a trip to the hair dresser and then off to the temple because we were the first sealing of the day. We were so nervous and excited at the same time. I felt the excitement go through my body the minute I saw Travis inside the temple. We had a great sealing where we were surrounded by family and friends. When we walked out of the temple it was so comforting to see all of the people that I loved waiting for us to celebrate our marriage. After a lot of hugs and A LOT of picutres we quickly got some food and then we were off to Coral Canyon Clubhouse to decorate for the reception. I didn't get much sleep the night before, so I hurried and took a quick nap before we had MORE pictures and the reception. I have to thank a lot of people for helping me with my wedding. First, Marnie, my best friends in the whole world, and Jan, her mother who is like my second mom, they were absolutely amazing and gave me so much support and love. They decorated my wedding and it was truly amazing. I seriously couldn't believe how much time and effort that they put into my wedding. Not only did they decorate, but they were with me the entire day to help with my needs and made me truly feel like a princess on this special day. I also need to thank my family who were a lot of help and made my wedding day very special. I got to have both of my brothers there, my parents along with cousins, grandmas, aunts, and uncles. I am so lucky to have such great friends and family that they would travel down to St. George for my wedding. I also have wonderful in-laws who helped me every step of the way. They were always willing to help. We were lucky to have all of Trav's sisters there and their husbands. It made us feel truly loved!! I know that I have a lot more people to thank, but that is why we have thank you cards!! :) I am so happy and so in love and I am excited for our future together!! If you want to see a few pics from my wedding, just click on Tiffany D Photography under my favorites list. She has a few pictures up for you to enjoy!!

I only posted one picture, but there are more to come. This picture was taken by Tiffany D Photography.

Planning a wedding...

Planning a wedding is crazy, and I have found that family and friends are VERY important during this special time. I want to give you a quick update on what has been happening. I have been teaching summer school, planning a wedding, traveling to Ogden for numerous things, and moving out of my apartment. WOW!! Yes, on top of everything, I have to be out of my apartment by the end of this month which is Tuesday I believe. SCARY!! However, thanks to my amazingly loving fiance who has put up with my emotional roller coaster lately, I am certain that everything will get done. I want to thank everyone for their help and support in planning this wedding. Cozy, Jessie, and my soon to be Mother-In-Law (that is weird) thank you for all of your help and for always rushing down here for my every need!! You have been absolutely amazing and I really couldn't pull this wedding off without you. My friend Juanita took my engagement pics and they turned out fantastic!! I am so glad that I have talented friends. She did an excellent job and you will see her beautiful work on my invitations. She just started a business called Photos by Juanita and you can check it under my favorites. Thank you Juanita for taking our pictures and helping us out with our invitations!! My family and friends up north are busy with the decorations, this has been kind of tricky because they are up there and the wedding is here. I have definitely been sending a lot of pictures. :) I think that everything will come together and I can't wait for the BIG day!!

BRIDALS AND GROOMALS

Last night we got our bridals and groomals done!! I was a little bit nervous because I hate getting my picture taken, I'm not photogenic, and I just feel awkward. WELL, let me just tell you.... I have the BEST photographer ever!! Her name is Tiffany and her company is called
Tiffany D Photography. You can check her out under my favorites where I have a link to her blog. If you need pics taken for ANYTHING, I would HIGHLY recommend her because if she can put up with me and Travis for over 2 hours AND get AMAZING pictures, then she HAS to be good. She was so nice and it felt like we were all just hanging out and having a good time. It definitely took the pressure and the awkwardness out of the night and made everything go really well. I am so glad that she will be at the temple and at our reception with us because I know that she will do a fantastic job!! It was the perfect night and we had a lot of fun. I can't wait to see all of the pictures and share them with all of you at my wedding!! Thank you Tiffany for your help, your advice, and most of all for making last night absolutely fantastic!! I truly appreciate your time and your talent!! Thanks!!

AUGUST 1st is the official day of our wedding.  We are getting married in the St. George Temple and then we will have a reception here that evening.  For those of you in Ogden, if you want to come, you are more than welcome to join us in St. George, but we won't be having anything in Ogden.  Sorry.  I am really excited and can't wait for the day to come.  The good news is that, it isn't that far away.  ha ha

I'M ENGAGED!!

Yesterday was a day that I will never forget!!  Travis asked me to marry him and I said YES!!  It was incredible, Travis is so amazing!!  He asked me to be ready at 6:20 in the morning.  I know that you are thinking that this is strange or way too early, but me and Travis like to go hiking and looking for sheds, so this is normal.  We usually leave early so that it is still cool.  I got ready like normal, and I was late, like normal.  Travis had brought me breakfast and was rushing me out the door.  I didn't understand because we usually don't have a schedule.   Anyways, I got into his truck and as we started driving down the road, he handed me a blindfold and said that we were going to do something really exciting and he didn't want me to see until we got there.  So, I put the blindfold on (this was really scary) and we drove for a few minutes, then he put me into another car with people that I didn't know.  I was so confused.  We drove for a few minutes and the boys in the car were chatting it up while I was scared for my life.  When we stopped, everyone got out and left me in the car with the music up full blast.  A few minutes later, Travis came and got me out of the car and took my blindfold off.  Right in front of me was a beautiful hot air balloon.  I was so excited!!  I got in, and away we went.  When we got up in sky and were at about 3,000 feet, Travis got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!!!  Of course I said YES!!  He put the ring on my finger and then we enjoyed the rest of the ride!!  It was like something in the movies!! After we got done, we headed up to the cabin to relax, spend time with Trav's parents,  and enjoy the day!!  I seriously can't think of a better day!!  Now it is time to plan a wedding!!  WOW!!  I get a little overwhelmed thinking about it, but the excitement takes over and I can't wait!!  NO, WE DON'T HAVE A DATE YET, but I will let you know as soon as I know!!  Here are a few pictures, I will get more on here ASAP.  Trav's camera went dead after the first 5 minutes of our ride, but the guy that took us had a disposable camera, so we have to get those developed!!  ENJOY!!

Just a little update...

Well, I am now 26 and officially an old woman!! ha ha I guess I'm not that old, I'm just feeling a lot older!! My birthday was fantastic!! I went to school and my class threw me a surprise party!! They are so cute and it was a lot of fun! I have some amazing parents! After school I went up to Trav's house and he had decorated the whole living room with balloons and all sorts of fun things! It was a fun surprise. After that, we went to dinner and the movies with my dad and had a good time. I got lots of fun things and really enjoyed my birthday!! I'm glad that I have great friends, family and a wonderful boyfriend!!
This weekend was really eventful and super fun!! On Sarturday we (me and Trav) went to Las Vegas to go to the drag races. (that was part of my birthday present) and watched the races!! I have never been, so I was really excited. I can't believe how fast those cars are!! They shook my whole body! (it was crazy) Then on Sunday (because it was conference and we didn't have church) Me and Trav, along with Jessie, Jon, and their cute little girl Mylie went out four wheeling. We went out looking for elk sheds and I FOUND MY FIRST ONE!! It was really exciting until a few minutes later when Trav came back with one twice the size of mine. Oh well, it was exciting anyways. Trav found an Elk shed and two deer sheds!! One of them was enormous!! It was a really fun day and a good ending to a great weekend!!

A Great Weekend!!

This weekend was just what I needed. On Friday me and Travis went to dinner and just enjoyed spending time together. We went for a walk around the temple and then just hung out at Trav's house. It wasn't anything crazy, but it was nice to relax and be with each other. Then on Saturday I got some laundry done and cleaned my house, then I went and helped Trav clean. After a long day of cleaning, we went for a dreadful visit to the grocery store (I HATE GROCERY SHOPPING)!! Later, we went for a little drive and a little hike. That night we watched the UFC fights and just had a quiet night at home. Sunday was the main event. Trav got ordained an Elder and was given the Preisthood. Trav's whole family came down to support him. I can't even explain the love that this family has for each other. Trav was so glad that everyone was there!! I absolutely love his family, I love being with them, and I love spending time with them. I am so proud of Travis and the man that he is. I am so lucky to have him and to be a part of his life. He is such a great example to me and everyone around him. He can always make me smile and when he walks into a room, it lights up. I am so thankful to have him and the happiness that he brings into my life !! Thanks to everyone who came down!! Thank you for your support, your love, and your spirit!! WE LOVE YOU!!

My Boyfriend is the BEST!!

I'm just sitting here at school and hating life. IT IS PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE WEEK!! It is the worst time for a teacher. We have to be to work early, stay late, and then we have to have meetings with all of the parents. I get really grumpy and I am in a bad mood most of the week. However, while I am sitting here, I am thinking of how great Travis is to me and how much I appreciate him. Yesterday, he made me lunch and brought it to me. I know that this doesn't seem like much, but it really meant a lot to me. I had a really long day ahead of me and going without lunch just would have made it worse. Then he fixed dinner for me and I just can't thank him enough. He is always so thoughtful and helping me out!! He really means al ot to me!! I love him so much!! Just thought that I would get my thoughts out today!! Hope that everyone is doing well!!

Four Wheelin Fun!!

This weekend was a blast!! On Friday night me and Travis went to dinner and then did a little shopping. Nothing too exciting, but we had a good time!! Then on Saturday a group of us headed down to Mesquite to do a little four wheelin. We rode out to Lake Mead and had a picnic. It was a cold drive, but definately worth it. (Travis definately likes to go fast) When we got to the Lake, it was beautiful and such a nice day. We hung out for a while and ate our lunch. We even saw a plane that took off in the water and then looped around and landed again. It was pretty cool!! It was a perfect day!! Travis took some pictures, so I'll have to put those on later!! Thanks Meagan and Reece for inviting us!! We had a lot of fun and we'll have to get together again soon!!

Christmas and New Years!!

Well, I know that I said that I was going to be better at this blogging thing, but I have failed once again. I have made it one of my goals for the new year to be better at blogging more often. Christmas was really fun!! I got to go up to Ogden and spend some time with my family. I stayed at my mom's house and spent a lot of time cooking and eating!! Yum, Yum!! We had a nice brunch on Christmas with my brother Brett and his wife Britt. My dad also came and had a good time. After dinner we had fun playing on the Wii. It was hilarious to watch my parents play!! Thanks for a great Christmas!!

That weekend I headed back to St. George where it was a little bit warmer and NO SNOW!! I spent New Year's with Travis (my boyfriend), his sisters, their families, and some friends!! We had a really good time playing games, eating, and watching the kids run around!! Thanks for inviting us!! Love you guys!! Well, that is how I spent my holiday break and now it is back to work!! Happy New Year to all!
